The Navy Memorial was open to the public on July 4, 2007 with a variety of activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy!

10:00 a.m.–3:00pm
10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Tours of the Navy Memorial every 30 minutes.
10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Book signing with Nader Elguindi, author of My Decision To Live.
12:00 p.m. Film screening of Navy SEAL movie, BUDS 224.
1:00 p.m. Film screening of Proud: The Movie, based on the true story of the men of the USS Mason.
2:00 p.m. “Let Freedom Ring”: a nationwide Independence Day program in which bells across the country—and on every ship in the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard—are rung 13 times at exactly 2:00 p.m. EDT in honor of the thirteen original states that the signers of the Declaration of Independence represented.
All events were free and open to the public.
Activity sheets and scavenger hunts were also available for children.
